What we do

Mission → Action

PNC turns mission into action through a focused, project-based approach. We unite energy off-takers, industry leaders, and stakeholders to shape policy, strengthen market signals, and build momentum for nuclear energy across South Carolina.

Policy Advocacy

We advocate for federal and state policies that support the long-term growth of nuclear energy. PNC works directly with lawmakers, regulators, and agency leaders to promote policies that drive private-sector investment and innovation in both large-scale nuclear projects and small modular reactors (SMRs).

Strategic Market Alignment

By aligning the needs of major energy off-takers—such as manufacturers, data centers, and technology firms—PNC sends a strong, unified signal of demand for clean, reliable, and scalable energy. We elevate the voice of industry to ensure that energy-intensive employers are protected from policies that could hinder growth and investment.

Roadmap & Regulatory Reform

We work with stakeholders to develop a clear, forward-looking roadmap for nuclear energy in South Carolina—one that aligns with the state’s broader economic and energy objectives. PNC also advocates for modernized, efficient permitting processes that accelerate nuclear deployment without compromising safety.

Public Engagement & Education

PNC builds public and stakeholder support for nuclear energy through strategic outreach, events, and issue education. We position nuclear as essential to grid reliability, job creation, decarbonization, and long-term economic competitiveness.

Led by our founding members—DC BLOX, Milliken & Company, Google, and Nucor—we’ve brought together energy off-takers, industry leaders, and key stakeholders through the Palmetto Nuclear Coalition to ensure South Carolina has the opportunity not only to lead the nation in deploying new nuclear power, but to emerge as a global hub for research, technology, and innovation.
